Community Work

For 25 years, I have been involved in the Sacramento Region as a community provider and as a private therapist. I had a rich career as a University professor at Sacramento State.  In my endeavors, people find me to be supportive, dedicated, knowledgeable and ethical.

I encourage clients to take an active role in the therapeutic process. We create a safe space together where you have input regarding how therapy should proceed. Our work is generally directed toward the balance between deeply accepting and appreciating yourself with enhancing your capacities to skillfully meet and address life's challenges.

A sliding fee scale is available, and I offer a no-fee exploration meeting where you can check me out and decide whether or not I may be a good fit for you.

Presently, I am not taking new clients and am dedicating efforts to developing community mindfulness groups and training and mentoring clinicians. Please inquire if you are interested!
